Youth Round-up: May 08

Welcome to the Outreach Youth Worker’s latest roundup looking back over the months of April and May. After a busy Easter I was glad of a break, and it was certainly needed, as this term has had its fair share of challenges and surprises – but it’s all been good fun!

The Vicar’s Office – On Monday 6th April at 10am we convened to rearrange the vicar’s office. From the outset Peter has been very kind by allowing me to use his office and the church laptop to do my admin – I’ve also been sharing those facilities with Amanda – but it became clear that more space was needed. After a monumental effort over a full week we managed to make room for a new desk and filing cabinet while retaining the space needed for staff meetings as well as the storing of vestments, books, archive boxes and the like (but especially the coffee maker!). I am grateful to Peter, Amanda, Carol and many others who have worked hard to better enable what we do with young people here at St Francis. (more…)
