Youth Round-up: July 2012

Bournville Film School – I am pleased to be able to post the link to the film we made at the Bournville Film School before Easter! Be amazed at our multi-talented young people, gasp at the special effects, and hold your breath at the suspense of what will happen next! We had so much fun making it and we hope you enjoy it too! Pop the following into your web browser or just click:

We Need Your Help! – Can I please ask you to consider if you would like to help staff some of the youth activities here at St Francis Church in the mission of reaching out to young people in the local community. Please take some time to think and pray and if you would like to speak to me confidentially we can talk about what such a commitment might look like. We have Sunday morning activities and Sunday afternoon/evening groups for different ages so there’s lots to be involved in!

Well Done! – Congratulations to the youth work students I am helping to train. They have passed their second year of study at Midlands CYM in Nottingham and have one more year to go before they are fully qualified!

Breathe Contemporary Youth Retreat – breathe is a youth retreat designed to help young people learn about God in a NEW BUT OLD WAY. It’s for those aged 13-17, with a student stream for 18-21 year olds. Activities (subject to confirmation) may include archery, climbing, mountain biking, fencing and hiking alongside times for prayer and reflection. breathe encourages an emphasis on community living, so be prepared to make friends for life! Speak to me if you’d like more information about this holiday – 22nd – 28th July 2012.
