Youth Roundup: May 2013

Chocolate Lifepath – As I write, we are running two days for local yr4 school children called LifepathLifepath is a Scripture Union initiative which we’ve chosen to base on the life and faith of George Cadbury and his Quaker spirituality. We will be seeing around 150 individuals and looking at themes such as silence, business and chocolate making. We have already got some great feedback though which we hope to build better links with our local schools over the coming months.

Alkhimi – During May there will be a group coming in to All4One club to lead craft and sports workshops. I hope to have photos of both this and the cooking workshops up on the website very soon!

Confirmations – We will be starting a series of Confirmation classes this term for any young people (age 10+) who want to make this sacrament and to learn more about their faith. It is also open to those who have not been baptised. Please speak to me if you would like to know more!

Reminder – Please let me remind you about our groups on Sunday evenings – FAITH (4.30pm-6pm) and FAITHFUL (7pm-8.30pm) as well as our Sunday morning group, Sacred Space, which meets on the 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. All are welcome!

Breathe Contemporary Youth Retreat – If you are interested in a retreat that allows you space to be you; space to think; space to experience God for yourself; space to breathe then Breathe is for you! You can find more information atwww.breatheyouthretreat.co.uk and for a video and young people’s reflections on the week. I hope to see you there!
